ST AUSTELL mayor Cllr Crystal Pearce is inviting people to join her at a “bank holiday cream tea afternoon”.
The event will take place at St Austell Library between 2pm and 4pm on Friday (May 3) before the first of the two bank holiday weekends this month.
A spokesperson said: “Bring along your picnic, blanket or chairs and enjoy a lazy afternoon to celebrate the long weekend. It is free to join us but booking in advanced is advised.”
The event will be held in the library's community garden or indoors if it is raining. Music will be provided by Barry's Shed Ukulele Group.
