REDUNDANT public toilets in Malpas, near Truro, could be turned into a self-build home with timber patio and a car parking deck if a planning application submitted to Cornwall Council is approved.
The toilet block stands almost opposite the Heron Inn overlooking the Carrick Roads waterway in the riverside village.
A supporting statement says: “This application for planning permission is a sensible use of a redundant building. The dwelling will make a small contribution to reducing the housing shortfall and provide employment during the construction.”
For more details, see planning application PA25/06796 on the council’s planning portal.
