CHILDREN’S Day took place on Saturday [June 21] in Truro city centre, offering families a host of entertainment and activities including mountain bike stunt shows, have-a-go sessions with Sustrans’ bike obstacle course, Swamp Circus and more.

Many of Truro's shops and eateries joined in with in-store activities and offers, and new for this year were markets and other activities in Pydar Street.

The event was organised by Truro Business Improvement District (BID) and sponsored by Coodes Solicitors. BID manager Alun Jones said: “We were delighted to host the eighth Children’s Day. It was great to see so many families enjoying the various activities and entertainment, especially once the sun came out.

“Thank you to all the businesses and organisations who joined in, and to everyone who came along.”
