HUGE crowds gathered to watch the best skateboarders from around the UK compete in Newquay.

Hundreds of people attended the Skateboard GB National Championship park discipline event held at Concrete Waves between Friday and Sunday.

Tay Cunningham from Westage on Sea won the men’s park competition, Harry Reilley came second and Seth Hendrix Wilson finished third.

British Olympian Lola Tambling from Saltash won the women’s park final, Olive Neman in second and Mara IIg Castro in third.

The three-day event was one of the most important events in the skateboarding calendar with skateboarders competing for £10,000 in cash prizes.

A spokesperson for Skateboarding GB said: “Thank you to all the skaters, staff, friends, family and every single person who was involved in making the event happen.”
