A new planning application has been submitted for the refurbishment and redevelopment of Trefresa Farm at Rock.
The plans include the demolition of some modern agricultural buildings, the erection of new buildings and extensions for others.
In a design and access statement submitted with the plans it is explained: “It is proposed that the use of Trefresa will be retained as a farmstead to form a family home with tenant farmers continuing to farm the surrounding fields.”
As well as demolishing some buildings and refurbishing others the plans also include a new tennis court being created and a pool house which will provide changing rooms and an outdoor kitchen for the swimming pool.
Under the plans the main farmhouse – known as Aunties House – would be refurbished with documents stating that the existing building is in a poor condition and currently unoccupied.
It will be turned into a five-bedroom property.
A new caretaker’s cottage would be built on the site of a modern barn, providing three bedrooms.
And a new yard is planned which will have a new store and workshop building.
Little Trefresa, a Grade II listed farmhouse, is also planned for refurbishment and will be used for house guests.
The property has three bedrooms.
A former milking parlour is proposed to be used for a TV room, games room and a gym along with other facilities. And the granary barn is earmarked for use as a workshop and studio.
