HUNDREDS of visitors lined the streets of Hayle to watch the annual carnival pass through the town last weekend.

Locals and visitors were out in force to watch the procession, enjoy the buzzing atmosphere and have a go at the various activities offered up to families.

The centrepiece of the carnival saw the big procession of floats leave the local recreation ground at 6pm.

Illogan Sparnon Silver Band for lead the parade with stilt walkers from Hotch Potch Performance.

All sorts of colourful floats, walking groups and musicians took part in the procession which sneaked its way around the streets of Hayle before returning to the ground where prize-giving took place.

New local band Sandsifter and The Nefarians also performed on the day, while an after party took place in the evening at The REC Cafe.
