Members of the public are invited to view proposals for the redevelopment of Cornwall College St Austell before a planning application is submitted in May.
The campus was named as one of just 16 colleges in England to receive significant investment as part of the Government’s Further Education Capital Transformation Fund, which was launched in September 2020 to rebuild and transform college estates into modern spaces meeting the needs of the students and communities they serve.
Concept designs for the campus were released by appointed contractor BAM. John Evans, principal and chief executive of the Cornwall College Group, said: “This is absolutely massive for the St Austell community and surrounding areas, and for those wanting a positive, vibrant and meaningful education delivered in the most inspirational buildings in the region.
“Our learners will benefit from the most modern and engaging college facilities in the country, with the added bonus of being one of the first carbon neutral colleges in the UK. These are incredibly exciting times for St Austell.”
The exhibition will be posted on the college website at www.cornwall.ac.uk/campus-developments
