A Newquay golfing group has donated £1,489 to a good cause.
Newquay Golf Club’s over 55 section has given the money to the Run Ride Read Repeat 4 Rosey charity, which was set up after Newquay vicar the Reverend Chris McQuillen-Wright’s daughter was left paralysed in a horse-riding accident.
Past captain Ray Polgrane was on hand to present the cheque to Chris at Newquay Golf Club. The money will go towards Rosey’s rehabilitation.
Frank Davies, the present over 55s club captain, said: “The amount was donated from our general funds as we thought it was such a deserving cause.
“The teenager’s life changed for ever after breaking her neck in a horse fall. She will now require care for the rest of her life.”
