A Friendship Speed Dating event run by Girls in Cornwall will take place at Zafiros in Truro’s New Bridge Street from 6.30pm on International Women’s Day (Wednesday, March 8). 

Participants will have five minutes to speak to each other individually before mingling as a group and sharing contact details with potential friends.

Last year’s event was a huge success. Tickets cost £7.50, and half of all sales will be donated to Georgia’s Voice, a mental health charity aimed at women aged 18 to 25, offering weekly support groups across Cornwall as well as individually tailored help, workshops and information days. 

The charity also raises funds through a Preloved Boutique in Falmouth, and will be collecting adults’ second-hand clothing in good condition on the night.

Girls in Cornwall provides social events for women in the county.
