A herd of cows were rescued after they became trapped in a slurry pit in Bodmin on Saturday.
Firefighters used line rescue systems, inflatable rescue paths and agricultural machinery to save the cows in Washaway at about 7.30am.
Pumping appliances from Wadebridge and Bodmin, the line rescue unit from Bodmin, the water rescue unit from St Austell, a Group Manager from Truro and a Station Manager from Wadebridge were mobilised to the incident.
A spokesman for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were mobilised to an emergency near Burlawn where multiple cows had become trapped in a slurry pit.
“A specialist line rescue unit from Bodmin Community Fire Station, a specialist water rescue unit from St Austell Community Fire Station, a Group Manager from Truro and a Station Manager from Wadebridge also attended.
“Crews utilised line rescue systems, inflatable rescue paths and agricultural machinery to resolve the incident.”
