Firefighters were scrambled in the middle of the night after alerts about a fire breaking out in a home.

Both appliances from Tolvaddon and an officer were sent to the property in Redruth in the early hours of today (January 24).

On arrival shortly after 3am crews found there had been an electrical fire in the bathroom.

Firefighters checked the bathroom and surrounding area for hot spots to ensure that it was safe.
