FAMILIES are invited to have a frightful time celebrating Halloween in Newquay.
The town’s most terrifying tradition, the gargantuan Zombie Crawl, will be held on Saturday, October 25.
The gory goings on will begin with multiple free rolling workshops for families to enjoy, happening throughout the town from 11am until 2.30pm, which will include freaky family face painting, zombie outfit making sessions, pop-up scary moooves dance classes, spooky storytelling, circus skills and ongoing entertainment in preparation for the creepy crawl.
The sessions are free-of-charge for everyone to attend and will be situated in businesses and locations throughout the town, from Cliff Road right through to Fore Street.
Thousands of affected zombies, including lifeguards, pirates and pop stars, will gather at Station Parade on Cliff Road to join the horror show Zombie Crawl at 3pm. The zombies will be shuffling, groaning and crawling their way through the wicked wasteland of Newquay’s main street, ending at Sainsburys, Alma Place.
This year’s crawl is set to be bigger, louder, and more electrifying than ever, with a special appearance from Titan the Robot, the world-famous mechanical marvel, who was originally created right here in Newquay. Titan will join the event to bring laughter, music and plenty of terrifying surprises to thrill seekers from far and wide.

The trail will end at various Newquay establishments where after parties of ‘spooky discos’ will kick off.
Across the rest of the Half Term week, visitors to Newquay should look out for spooky monster offers going on right through the town. This year will also see the launch of a Spooky Halloween Trail around the town, with participating businesses joining in the fun by decorating their windows, dressing up staff in spooky outfits, and creating a truly immersive Halloween atmosphere.

Trenance Park will also be part of the celebration, hosting a Spooky Trenance Trail to extend the event beyond the town centre. Across the resort, Newquay businesses will be ‘spookifying’ their shop fronts, their teams, their wares, products and offerings.
Newquay BID manager, Mark Warren, who last year transformed into a zombie-infected version of late pop star Prince, said: “This event is such an important date in our town calendar. It brings thousands of people into Newquay on what would normally be a quiet weekend. Last year’s Zombie Crawl was incredible – the car parks were full, the town centre was buzzing, and everyone had a fantastic time. We’re so excited to bring it back again this year, bigger and better.
“The Spooky Newquay Zombie Crawl is more than just a family day out – it’s a major boost for local businesses. Shops, cafés, restaurants, and attractions are encouraged to get involved by hosting workshops, offering special “Spooky Newquay” half-term deals, and even putting on after-dark discos to keep the fun going well into the evening.
“This is a completely free family event that we are working to make the biggest Halloween celebration in Cornwall – and maybe even the South West. It’s all about showcasing Newquay outside the summer season and creating unforgettable experiences for both locals and visitors. We can’t wait to see everyone in their best zombie costumes.”
More specific workshop details and timings will be announced closer to the event. Full listings will be available on the Newquay BID website at www.newquaybid.co.uk, as well as the Love Newquay website at www.lovenewquay.co.uk under ‘Events’.
Spooky Newquay has been organised by Newquay Business Improvement District (BID) with support from Experience Newquay on behalf of Cornwall Council’s Good Growth Fund. The Zombie Crawl is supported by local businesses, residents, and visitors alike, and has quickly become one of the most eagerly anticipated community events of the year. If local Newquay businesses have events and activities planned, please do share these with the Newquay BID team who will promote on their behalf. Please send to [email protected]
Experience Newquay is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. It aims to support a resilient year-round visitor economy and highlight Newquay’s unique identity. It provides support in training, cultural curation, marketing, and impact evaluation, aiming to attract both local and national visitors sustainably. With this investment, the festival is set to rejuvenate Newquay’s town centre and support local enterprises.
