A modern monolith sculpture created by artist Robin Sullivan and the community has been unveiled. The Newquay Monolith project aims to create new communal points to showcase the town’s heritage, archaeological past, and contemporary communities.
A spokesperson for Cornwall Council said: “The new surfaced path replaces the uneven and worn section towards Lusty Glaze.
“It means more people can access the Barrowfields, including those with mobility issues, pushchairs and wheelchairs.
“New wildflowers, shrubs and flowers have also been planted in the area as part of the project.”
