A Cornish-based environmental data and climate data company has marked a milestone year of giving back, raising £79,564.51 for charitable causes across the UK and beyond.

Over the past 12 months, the team at Groundsure has embraced fundraising, volunteering and community development as core elements of its culture.

From running marathons and hosting creative charity events to dedicating time to hands-on conservation and youth support work, the company’s impact spans a wide range of causes.

These efforts include both national charities and grassroots organisations, all while maintaining a strong connection to Groundsure’s Cornish roots.

One of the standout initiatives is the company’s long-term partnership with Camborne Rugby Club.

The company has invested in training equipment, youth development programmes and ground improvements. The project has helped strengthen community pride while creating real pathways for local youth.

Groundsure has also made a global impact through its ongoing collaboration with the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT).

In the past year, staff contributed 104 hours to HOT mapping, alongside 60 additional hours on critical disaster response projects, including emergency mapping after the Myanmar Earthquake and building footprint mapping for disaster resilience in Malawi. These volunteer efforts were valued at over £13,900 in total.

Gemma Logan, Groundsure’s content marketing manager, reflected on the year’s achievements and said: “It’s amazing to see how much we’ve accomplished by working together. Supporting causes that matter to us both personally and professionally is something we truly value.”
