Beachgoers were left bemused after four drivers became stuck in the sand at a Newquay beach on Wednesday.
The black cars became bogged down at Towan Beach despite lifeguards warning the motorists not to park there.
The drivers managed to get their vehicles off the beach with the help of lifeguards before the incoming tide arrived.
The motorists have certainly not received much sympathy on social media following the incident.
One person wrote: “Not a parking area not a racetrack.
“It's for people. It's called the beach.
“Charge them. When they need help and fine them strongly. Next, there will be an accident involving beach goers. Just put up a big sign stating ‘no cars allowed on beach.’
The incident follows a Mercedes 4x4 vehicle became wedged on Towan Beach before it was towed away on Thursday, July 27.
