Firefighters tackled a blaze in a farm barn in the middle of the night.

The alarm was sounded at 2.30am yesterday (January 29) on a farm near Congdon's Shop, between Launceston and Liskeard.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service control centre sent two crews from Launceston.

Finding the barn well alight, they called for more help, so a crew from Callington was sent to the scene.

The firefighters used two hose reel jets and one main jet to put out the fire.
