THE A38 Liskeard Road between Trematon turn off (Notter) and A388 (Carkeel Roundabout, Saltash) has been closed both ways closed due to a serious multi-vehicle accident

There is reportedly congestion eastbound from the Blunts turn off affecting traffic coming from Parkway Industrial Estate and The Fire Station.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson confirmed: "Police were called to the A38 at Notter, Saltash, at about 10.30am on Monday, January 23, to reports of a collision.

"Officers attended and found there had been a collision involving three cars.The fire service and ambulance service also attended. A local road closure is in place.

"Two people were initially taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution. A further two people have also been taken to hospital. The extent of their injuries is not known at this time. The incident is ongoing."
